MINZAS Scholarship

MINZAS program is a partnership program of Mekong Institute and New Zealand Embassy in Bangkok. The objective of this program is to enhance research capacity of young GMS researchers by providing a structured learning and filed research application program for 36 masters degree students from provincial universities in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Thailand.

30 two-year Master's and 30 three-year Ph.D Scholarships

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Mahidol University, is proud to announce 30 two-year Master’s and 30 three-year PhD scholarships to study at Mahidol University, Thailand. The scholarships are available to the faculty and staff of Myanmar public universities and affiliated institutions as well as Myanmar government and NGO officials and those from private institutions.

Master’s Scholarships for International Students at University of Manchester in UK, 2013

The University of Manchester offers MSc scholarships for international students in the field of medical mycology for September 2013 entry. The scholarships are directed at medical and healthcare science graduates from ‘resource-limited’ non-EU countries wishing to develop their skills as mycologists. The scholarships provide full sponsorship of the MSc tuition fee and £16,550 living allowance (stipend). Application deadline is 5th August 2013.

Postgraduate Scholarships for International (non EU/EEA) Students in UK, 2013/14

Canterbury Christ Church University is offering postgraduate scholarships for international (non EU/EEA) students for academic year 2013/14. Students must hold an offer of admission for 1 year postgraduate taught programme. The scholarships will be awarded as a reduction in tuition fees when the successful candidates register for the relevant programme at CCCU. Application should be submitted till July 15th 2013.

The SEASREP Foundation is inviting applications for the grant program to Southeast Asian nations. The language training grant supports the any foreign Southeast Asian national or local language (other than applicant’s own) study through a non-degree course and postgraduate study grant is awarded to pursue M.A. or PhD and postdoctoral research program. Applications should be submitted by 20 December 2013.

SEARCA Graduate (Master’s and PhD) Scholarships for Southeast Asians, 2014-2015

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) invites application for its annual graduate scholarship. This scholarship is open to the nationals of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, who are regular employees of academic or research institutions or government agencies and are not older than 35 years of age. The scholarship is offered in agriculture, forestry and related fields at Bogor Agricultural University and Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia, Putra University in Malaysia, University of the Philippines and Kasetsart University in Thailand.

2013/2014 ASEAN Graduate Students Exchange Program at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

The Faculty of Political Science at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand is offering ASEAN Graduate Students Exchange Program (ASEAN-GSEP) for graduate students who are interested to pursue Master of Arts in International Development Studies (MAIDS) program. The students from ASEAN countries (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and The Philippines) except Thailand can apply for this program. Queen’s University Management School South East Asia Postgraduate Scholarships in UK, 2013

Queen’s University offers Management School South East Asia Postgraduate Scholarships. The students of Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Myanmar can apply for these scholarships. Candidates must be classified as international (overseas) students for fees purposes. Candidates must hold and have accepted online an offer of a study place for an eligible postgraduate degree programme commencing in September 2013.

South East Asia Postgraduate Engineering Scholarships at Queen’s University in UK, 2013/14

Queen’s University offering postgraduate scholarships in the field of engineering. Scholarships are available to qualified engineering students from Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Myanmar who are commencing their master’s programme in September 2013. These scholarships are worth £2,500 and award will be deducted from the tuition fees payable to Queen’s upon enrolment in September 2013 to reduce the overall cost of tuition fees. 2013 Setsutaro Kobayashi Memorial Fund 30th Foreign Students Research Grants in Japan

Fujixirox Co. Ltd Setsutaro Kobayashi Memorial Fund is offering research grants for foreign students. The maximum amount of grant is 1,200,000 yen per grantee will be awarded for one year. Foreign students or researchers from an Asia-Pacific country/area who are living in Japan are eligible to apply for the grant. Due date of application is February 28, 2013.

2014/15 Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships in Humanities, USA

Penn Humanities Forum is offering Andrew W. Mellon postdoctoral fellowships in humanities for the 2014-2015 academic year. Five (5) one-year Mellon postdoctoral fellowships are available to all national and international scholars. The stipend is $46,500 and fellows will also receive a research fund of $2500. Fellows are required to be in residence during their fellowship year (September 1–May 31). The application deadline is October 15, 2013.

2014 HFI Michelle North Scholarship for Safety Education & Training in Helicopter Operations in USA

Helicopter Foundation International is offering Michelle North Scholarship for Safety in memory of Michelle North, a long-time industry advocate of safety in USA. The scholarship is awarded in safety and safety education and training in helicopter operations. Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism is offering 10-15 Ochberg fellowship in journalism. The fellowship is offered for senior and mid-career journalists from North America, Central and South America, Europe, the Asia Pacific region, Africa and the Mideast. Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowship for International Applicants in USA, 2014/15

The Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow program enables democracy activists, practitioners, scholars and journalists from around the world to pursue a period of reflection, research and professional exchange at the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington, D.C, USA. The program offers two tracks, a practitioner track (for experienced activists) and a scholarly track (for professors and researchers from emerging and aspiring democracies). Japan-WCO Human Resource Development Scholarship for Developing Countries in Japan, 2014/15

Each year, WCO offers Japan-WCO scholarship for developing countries. This scholarship is awarded to young Customs managers for pursuing Master’s Degree programme in Strategic Management and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) programme at the Aoyama Gakuin University (AGU) in Tokyo, Japan. This scholarship covers travel, subsistence, admission, tuition and other approved expenses. CBS School of Accounting Honours Scholarships for Undergraduate Students, Australia 2013

Curtin University offers accounting honours scholarships for undergraduate students. Applicants must be enrolling full-time (100 credits) in accounting honours major. Three scholarships are offered. Each Scholarship will provide $1,500 per semester towards student tuition for the honours year. These scholarships are merit based and available for Bachelor of Commerce. International Postgraduate Coursework Awards (IPCA) in Australia 2013

The University of Melbourne offers postgraduate coursework awards for international students in Australia. To be considered for an IPCA, applicants need to have an unconditional course offer in one of the postgraduate coursework programs. 28 scholarships are offered for the duration of the course. Scholarship offers 25% to 100% of international student tuition fees (Normally IPCAs of 25% are offered). Scholarships are awarded each year based on academic merit to outstanding international students.

Melbourne International Fee Remission Scholarships for International Students in Australia, 2013

University of Melbourne offers international fee remission scholarships for international students for pursuing graduate research degree studies at the University of Melbourne in Australia. MIFRSs are funded by the university with each faculty having a limited number of awards. Each year the University of Melbourne offers about 150 MIFRSs. The MIFRS covers full tuition costs, but not overseas student health care. Applicants should submit their application for admission and scholarship by 31 August.

International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) at UWA in Australia, 2014

University of Western Australia is offering international postgraduate research scholarships (IPRS) in Australia. The tuition fee scholarship is awarded to international students for 2014 academic year. Scholarship is awarded for four years which covers tuition fee, fortnightly stipend and health insurance. The University of Southern Queensland offers Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Scholarships in Australia. Students must be intending to study full-time, on-campus at USQ Toowoomba, Springfield or Fraser Coast and therefore must be able to study in Australia on a student visa. This scholarship is only available to newly commencing international student. Selection is based on previous academic performance. The scholarship will have a maximum value of $5,000.

2013 Shoda Memorial Asia International Student Scholarship Fund, Japan

Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo is inviting applications for Shoda Memorial international scholarship for Asian students who are enrolled or will be enrolled in the first year of the master’s course or in the second year of the doctoral course. The scholarship provides 70,000 Yen per month for up to two years. Students can apply till March 13, 2013.

2014 Japanese Government Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) for Master’s Students in Japan

Applications are open for scholarships for Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) for 2013 academic year. The scholarship is available for international students to pursue master’s program in the field of Public Administration/ Public Policy from October 2013 at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Japan. Approx 10 scholarships are awarded for one year. The scholarship will cover tuition fees provide monthly allowance up to 242,000 yen, travel allowance and accommodations. Matsumae International Fellowships for Researchers in Japan, 2014

The Matsumae International Foundation is inviting applications for international fellowships. Approx 13 fellowships are awarded for pursuing research from April 2014 to March 2015. Applicants are free to select host institutions (university research laboratories, national research institutions or the corresponding facilities of private industry) in which to carry out their research in Japan. JAXA International Top Young Fellowship (ITYF) in Japan, 2013

Institute of Space and Astronautical Sciences, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (ISAS, JAXA) is offering international fellowship to highly motivated, early-career researchers in any of the space science fields covered by ISAS for work in Japan for 3 (extendable to 5) years. To be eligible for this fellowship, applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent doctoral level degree) and less than 8 years postdoctoral experience. The starting date of the research activity is required be the first day of the month during Japanese FY 2013 (until March 2014). August 31, 2013 is the application deadline.

2013 W J Weeden Postgraduate Research Stipend Scholarships for International Students, Australia

University of Canberra offers W J Weeden postgraduate research scholarships to applicants of exceptional research potential undertaking a higher degree by research. This scholarship is open to domestic and international students and is generously funded by the family of the late W J Weeden.To be eligible for Weeden Stipend, an applicant must have completed a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours, or be regarded by the University as having an equivalent level of attainment. Weeden Stipends are provided to assist with general living costs through the provision of a stipend. The duration of a full-time Weeden Stipend is three years for a candidate undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy course. Selection of Weeden Stipend recipients will be undertaken by the University Research Scholarships Committee on the basis of academic merit and research potential. Monash University International Merit Scholarships for Undergraduate or Postgraduate Level in Australia

Monash University offers international merit scholarships for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree in Australia. Scholarships are provided to learn any of the courses offered by Monash University. International Students can apply for these scholarships. Countries with strategic priorities for Monash will be given preference. 25 scholarships of $10,000 for a full time study load (48 credit points) paid per year until the minimum number of points for their degree are completed. Students studying Australian Year 12 are not eligible for these scholarships.

Monash University offers international leadership scholarships to learn any of the courses (except Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Master of Business Administration) for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Scholarships offer 100% course fees, paid until the minimum number of points for the degree are completed. Applicants must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester. Six scholarships are available. Applications from students from all countries are invited and countries with strategic priorities for Monash will be given preference.

2013 Asian Women In Business Scholarships for Undergraduate Students in USA

The Asian Women in Business(AWIB) is offering scholarships for undergraduate students. Women from Asian countries who have demonstrated scholarship, leadership, community service and/or entrepreneurship are eligible to apply for the scholarship. TWAS-USM Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries, 2014

TWAS-USM offers postdoctoral fellowship to pursue advanced research in the natural sciences at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Fellowships are offered for a minimum period of twelve (12) months to a maximum period of three years and are awarded to young scientists from developing countries. USM will provide a standard monthly allowance which should be used to cover living costs, such as accommodation and food. The application deadline is 15 September of each year.
